High Performance Liquid Chromatography

High Performance Liquid Chromatography is a common analytical tool used in a variety of applications such as identification, separation, purification and quantification of various compounds. In our facilities there are two different HPLC systems:

 

1.  Varian R&D Ternary HPLC

This system is equipped with ProStar 330 Photodiode Array (PDA) detector with prism technology that improves light efficiency and spectral imaging, producing high-resolution spectra. The system is also equipped with ProStar 230 Ternary Solvent Delivery Module and ProStar 410 Auto Sampler.

Features and Benefits:

•  ProStar 330 Photodiode Array (PDA) detector : This detector features: programmable slit widths producing highest sensitivity and spectral resolution; dual-path length flow cells; wavelength range from 190 to 950nm; and accuracy of 1 nm.

•  ProStar 230 Ternary Solvent Delivery Module: This solvent delivery system features: gradient pumps that offer selectable one, two, or four-stroke proportioning; intelligent design assuring accurate and reproducible results; build-in automation allowing for up to five methods; and GLP compliance.

•  ProStar 410 Auto Sampler: This sampler features: variable injection volumes and auto-mixing/auto-diluting offering flexibility, ease of use, and precision; and reduced sample preparation time with easily programmable internal standard addition, sample dilution, or derivation steps.

2.  Waters Breeze HPLC

Our Waters Breeze HPLC system comes with Waters 2414 Differential Refractive Index (dRI) , and Waters 2487 Dual Absorbance detector both of which are unsurpassed in sensitivity, stability and reproducibility. It is also equipped with Waters 1525 Binary HPLC Pump, and Waters 717 plus Autosampler. With unsurpassed sensitivity, stability and reproducibility the Waters Breeze HPLC System provides a total sample analysis solution for many applications including sugar analysis, polymer analysis, preparative analysis and quality control applications.

Features and Benefits:

•  Waters 2414 Differential Refractive Index (dRI): This detector features: high efficiency heat exchanger and flow cell temperature control ensuring stable and reproducible results; lowest dispersion volume makes it ideal for high-speed GPC and narrow bore column chromatography; and smart electronics neutralizes the effects of ambient temperature changes on signal response.

•  Waters 2487 Dual Absorbance detector: This detector features: patented TaperSlit flow cell ensuring the highest sensitivity while maintaining optimal spectral performance; linear dynamic range to simultaneously quantitative major and minor components for both routine and complex HPLC applications.

•  Waters 1525 Binary HPLC Pump: This HPLC Pump features: integrated high pressure gradient pumping system and on-board pulse dampening to minimize volume and provide the smooth, pulse-free solvent flow required by highly sensitive detectors.

•  Waters 717 plus Autosampler: This autosampler features: a highly reliable and extremely precise fluid path design that is versatile for all methods and applications; and advanced automation capabilities making it easy to develop methods.
